Tom Browning (1960–2022), former Reds pitcher threw a perfect game

Tom Browning was a former pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds who threw the 12th perfect game in Major League Baseball history in 1988.

Tom Browning won 20 games his rookie season with the Reds in 1985 and finished second in the NL rookie of the year voting. He played 11 seasons with the Reds, winning 123 games with 1,000 strikeouts. He appeared with the Kansas City Royals for two games in 1995, losing both and retiring due to injuries. On September 16, 1988, Browning threw the 12th perfect game in Major League Baseball history against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He helped the Reds upset Oakland to win the World Series in 1990, winning two postseason games. In 1993 he left the dugout during a game at Wrigley Field to hang out on a rooftop with fans. He was fined $500 by the team.
