Goebig Sr., Roy W. age 80, late of Mokena, IL. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Pelzman), loving father of Linda (Mike) Boyd, Roy Jr. (Carol), Gary, Beth (Thomas) Zitko, Thomas, David (Traci) serving in Iraq, Debbie (Rob) Pawluk, Michael (Caitlin) and the late Charles, proud grandfather of Robyn (Chad) Thompson, Brianna (Gabe) Stalwick, Megan and Rachel Pawluk, Rebecca, Thomas Jr., Jenna, Eric, Jordan, Bruce, Hannah, Abby, David, Andrew and Benjamin Goebig, great-grandfather of Austin Stalwick, dear brother of James, the late Charles, Margaret and Edward, preceded in death by his parents Charles and Helen Goebig, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews, cherished friend of everyone. Funeral service Wednesday, January 26, 2005, 10:30 a.m. from the Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 S. Wolf Rd., Mokena, IL to St. Mary Church, Mass 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery. Roy was a WWII Veteran, retired after 38 years of service from the CTA and lived in Mokena for 36 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and numerous friends. He touched many lives and will be truly missed but always remembered. A special thank you to Dr. Ramsis Ghaly and Vitas Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60018 or your favorite charity.
