Morty is still alive in his friends' memories. I remember his talk about jazz standards, Count Basie especially. I remember his love of life, food, books, people, all things that excited him. I still follow his recipe for zucchini casserole au gratin. Thanks, dear Morty.

I was a school nurse-teacher and worked with with him at Mineola High School. He was a kind and caring man who loved his family.
