Patrick Keleghan Obituary

Patrick Gabriel Keleghan

Patrick Gabriel Keleghan, our little sunshine, suddenly went to heaven on April 20, 2018 surrounded by family. He passed too early but gave his family the finest two years, two months, and two days of their lives. Patrick worked hard in therapy to overcome an in utero stroke and died peacefully in his sleep.

Patrick was a loving boy with contagious laugh and smile that lit up any room he entered.

Patrick was a clever and curious boy with an insatiable need to go "bye bye" and explore the world. He loved to celebrate holidays with his family in Chicago and has even been to Florida three times and also Cancun. He loved going to various activities around Toledo including Gymnastics, Story Time, Toledo Art Museum, hanging with his nannies, neighborhood and daycare buddies, and going out to eat. Patrick especially loved playing outside, stroller walks with Wiggums, live music, and dancing. Patrick was also the good luck charm The Cubs needed to win the World Series when he was just six months old.

Patrick's life will be celebrated by his Irish Twin, Kieran James, his parents, Rob and Karrie Keleghan; Great Grandmothers Marge Fall and Geraldine Ohlman; Grandparents, Larry & Shari Ohlman, Joseph Gabriel and Mary Keleghan; aunt, Debbie Ohlman, Sue and Rick Fandry, aunt Sandy "TaTa" Spoerke, Auntie Eileen McMahon Sullivan, uncles John (Sue), Gabe (Paula), Mark(Cathy), and Mike (Laura) Keleghan, Lawrence LJ Ohlman, aunts Heather (Jon) Beals, Lindsey (Funcle Jim Schoen) Ohlman, Keleghan; Cousins, Jenny, Julie, Katie, Joey, Mikey, and Eileen and Beals Cousins Luke and Mia, and many more cousins in Toledo, Ireland and Chicago. He was preceded in death by his Great Grandfathers Lawrence "Bud" Ohlman, John Fall, and Peter and Bridget Geraghty of County Galway, Ireland, and Jack and Marion Keleghan of County Mayo, Ireland, Uncle Tom McMahon, Auntie Marion Emery, Uncle Daniel Sullivan, Uncle Joe Spoerke, Uncle Sean Keleghan, and Cousin Ryan Moses.

Our family is truly blessed to be part of such a wonderful community of friends, family, and peers. We are overwhelmed by the generosity and outpouring of love we have received during this difficult time.

A celebration of Patrick's life will be held at Corpus Christi Parish located at 2955 Dorr Street, Toledo, OH 43607 where his family will receive friends after 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 26, 2018 immediately followed by a Memorial Mass beginning at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Daniel Zak Officiant. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Patrick Keleghan Memorial Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ansberg-West Funeral Directors, 419-472-7633.
