Robert D. Gatto, "Bobby", passed away suddenly Sunday April 5, 2015 at home. He was a born in Bayonne, NJ. The son of the late Adele Conti. Bobby was a resident of Manville, NJ for the past 40 years. Bobby was the owner of Gatto's Sports Cafe in Manville, NJ which he established in 1994. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with family, friends and the many loyal customers who frequented his bar. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

He was predeceased by his mother Adele Conti in 2004. He is survived by his only son, Cody R. Gatto of Manville, NJ, his sister Linda Conti and his best friend and business partner of 20 plus years, Joe Catrone.

The viewing will take place on Thursday April 9, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd., Manville, NJ. (908)575-8512. The Funeral service will take place during the evening viewing. Burial will be private. For additional information please visit our website at www.ketusky.com.

I knew Bobby for just a few years as my client and always thought of him not as a client but a true friend. I was shocked to hear the news of his passing especially when I just spoke to him on Friday and he sounded great. I will think of him often and miss his warmth and sense of humor.. We've lost a wonderful friend and a great man. My husband John and I always looked forward to going to Gatto's to see Bobby and would make a special trip on Sundays because we knew he would be there. Cody, Linda, Joe, John and my heart goes out to each of you. And to all the friends we met through Gatto's - we have all lost a WONDERFUL man and tremendous, caring friend - Love you Bobby!
