Mary Burke Obituary
AGE: 89 • Brick
Mary V. (Boyd) Burke, age 89, of Brick, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Willow Springs Care Center in Brick. Born and raised in Jersey City, she moved to Lakewood in 1994 prior to moving to Brick in 2014. She worked as a Solicitation Supervisor for The Jersey Journal before her retirement.
Mary was predeceased by her husband James and 4 sisters Evelyn, Loretta, Margie, and Muriel. She is survived by 2 sons James Burke and his wife Maureen, and Kenneth Burke; and 2 daughters Diane Burke-Ippolito and her husband Robert, and Sharon Burke-Lucas and her husband Ed; 1 sister Geraldine Salerno and her husband Albert; and 5 grandchildren, James, Megan, Kenneth, Sean and EJ and a great-grandson Liam. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 4PM to 8PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88, Brick. A funeral mass will be offered on Friday, 10:00 AM at St. Dominic's Church, Brick. Cremation will be private. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.colonialfuneralgroup.com

To the Burke family,
My sister Pat had messaged Diane and found out about your Mom's passing in February. So sorry to hear that. We lost our Mom in Oct. 2014. Your Mom was like an aunt to me when we lived downstairs from you on Jewett Ave and when I would stay at your house after school until I got picked up to go home after we moved. . I will always remember her and your family.
