Mr. B.

August 10, 2019

Since that time, I had always hoped to see him again but I could never find him. I always hoped to run into him just to know how he was doing. He was my teacher for a very brief time as I was moving from school to school trying to find the right school. I not only learned many interesting subjects as a young student but also witnessed the good will, integrity and humor from this man, quietly taking mental notes and inspiring to be the same way even to this day. He nailed the first peg in making many of us in our early-mid teens the professional grownups we were going to be. I came across the 8th grade syllabus he made us from August of 2004, I don't know how it survived so intact all these years or why I kept it but Its in my saved letters and files now; this being the only thing I have left of that class other than my pure memory and I'm glad I have it, I wish there was room to tell all the stories I can remember. Happy 70th birthday Mr T. We will always remember you. See you on the other side.

To Steve's family, I had the honor of working with him at Twin Rivers Charter School. He was an inspiration to all he worked with, he was engaging with his students and honestly very funny to be around. He will be greatly missed given all the lives he blessed. I am greatly saddened at your family's loss and send you my deepest sympathy.
