What a shock to find our friend at Delphi Forums has passed. I shall certainly miss Glen. He was a friend to all here and helped us whenever he could by giving information that we needed in everyday life. What fun Glen was in the forum Southern States! I shall always remember his recipes for Thanksgiving! I will miss being able to run by and check them out when needed. His family, I believe, is much blessed and richer in life because of him, because if he was the man he was for us, I can only imagine what he was to his family! God bless you all and keep you safe in His arms.

I was saddened to learn of Glen's death. We met in our first year of law school; and lived in the dorm across the hall from each other. We remained friends throughout school. Over the next 40 years, we bumped into each other regularly -- frequently at the Varsity for some reason. Every time I saw him, we just picked right up where we ended our last conversation.
Glen was smart. His interests were broader than the law. He was funny and friendly. He was a decent man. The other dorm mates and I enjoyed pulling pranks on each other (sometimes pretty risky pranks). When our mutual friend, Cesar Armstrong of Miami, and I were assigned the job, we usually chose Glen as the victim. There were two reasons. First, we could outrun Glen. Second, he was a good sport. I don't recall ever seeing Glen without a smile. I never saw the guy angry.
Glen was not without fault. He had a guitar and he was terrible. Every song he played sounded the same: "chanka, chanka, chanka...... chanka, chanka, chanka." Most of us tried to study after supper. Glen practiced and his friends protested: "Chanka, chanka, chanka." "Shut up Glen." Chanka, chanka, chanka." "Shut up Glen."
In the dining hall one day, Glen announced that he had perfected a new song and he invited us to his room to hear it. It went something like this: "Chanka, chanka, chanka." The audience went mad.
I should mention that Glen was in law school during the days of disco. Perhaps he was constantly practicing that great disco hit, "Funky Town."
A final, brief observation. Glen had every type of convenience size cooking appliance on the market in his tiny dorm room. The craziest was hot dog cooker.
As stated above, Glen was a decent man. I don't think one can be rated much better than that.
I regret that I cannot attend Glen's service as I will be in New York. Peace to Pamela and the rest of the family.

Mr. Glen, it's so hard to say goodbye. You've been my office mate for the last 6 years and I truly enjoyed you're amazing aura you brought to the office. Over the past years I've watched you fight this battle and I know you're in a better place. I will miss talking with you about you're favorite team The Braves and sports in general. Love you Mr Glen!!!

I will miss you dearly, Glen! You were so much more than our office mate....but you were our work family! In the 18 years that Ive known you, you have provided me with so much laughter, joy, wisdom, and knowlege. So sorry to hear about Glen. I never met him in person, but knew him as a cyberpal through Delphiforums. He was one of the top forum hosts. We were all pulling for Glen as he struggled with health issues the last couple of years. Glen was a fighter and always managed to bounce back after each setback. He will be missed. RIP Glen and condolences to the Ashman family.
