DR. GARY ROBERT SILVERMAN

Dr. Gary Robert Silverman passed peacefully at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

He was born in Miami Beach, Florida on August 17, 1950 the eldest child of Herman & Sonia (Starr) Silverman. Growing up in South Miami, he graduated from Coral Park High School 3rd in his class. Following his dream of becoming a doctor of medicine he attended Emory University transferring to Stanford University where he received his undergraduate degree. He then attended Cornell University Medical School in New York where he received his Doctorate of Medicine Degree. Gary completed his residency in family practice at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he met his wife, Carol.

Gary and Carol were married in Cherryhill, New Jersey on July 22, 1979. Shortly after their marriage, the newlyweds moved to Jacksonville and then to Clearwater, Florida. By the end of 1982, the couple along with their new born son settled in Vero Beach, Florida.

Gary worked at Doctor's Clinic in Vero Beach and stayed on after it became Primary Care of Treasure Coast where he retired in March of 2024.

Gary was a loving brother, husband and father.

He will be remembered as a dedicated, caring physician respected by so many in our community.

Gary Robert Silverman is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Carol, his son, Doug and his sister, Judy.
