Family-Placed Death Notice
BOST, David E. David Everette Bost died Monday, September 14, 2009 after a valiant struggle with cancer. David was a kind, generous, loyal and loving husband, father and friend. He was never too busy to help a neighbor or friend. He never met a steak he couldn't cook much to the delight of all who knew him. David was preceded in death by his father, James H. Bost, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife Sandy Newman Bost; daughters, Erin and Paula Bost; mother Alma "Pete" Bost; sisters, Susan Hunsucker and husband David and Alison Coward; and brother, James H. Bost, Jr.; as well as five nieces, one nephew and one great niece. David was born November 7, 1958 in Sanford, N.C.., graduated from NC State University with a B.S. in Chemistry. He owned and operated Starr Vinyl Services. He was a two-time president of Lake Arrowhead Men's Golf Association, a long time member and current board president of Lake Arrowhead Volunteer Fire Department. Over the years he devoted much time and effort toward continual improvement of the Lake Arrowhead Fire Department and the welfare and safety of the community which he loved. For a great many years he provided, along with his wife Sandy, the most spectacular Fourth of July Fireworks in North Georgia. He could spin a great yarn as well as having yard of the century. He truly felt every day was another day in paradise. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Lake Arrowhead Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1071, Waleska, GA 30183 or The Cottage School, 700 Grimes Bridge Road, Roswell, GA 30075. Arrangements by Cremation Society of the SOUTH in Marietta 770-420-5557.

just getting news of davids passing. i worked for him at starr vinyl some years ago, and am saddened to hear this news. my thoughts and prayers go to his family and friends. ill miss him dearly.

to the Bost girls,
It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again.

I grew up across the street from David and remember him well. Although we lost touch over the years, I will always remember his humor, intelligence, and friendship. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

We are so sad. Al and I loved David, Sandy and the girls, Erin and Paula.We will always have the wonderful memories that we made over the years--espically durning all "Family" get together. We laughed, cried, partyed, and spent hours on the boats.

David,my best friend in high school, was a singular personality. I have not met anyone like him since as his joy for life led me into some memorable adventures...by rights, neither of us should have survived our teens. You have my most heartfelt sympathy.
I did not have the pleasure of meeting David face to face, but in talking with him on the phone, I knew he was one of the most upbeat, positive, and jolly of people. He always brought out a smile even on "difficult" days. He will be so missed by all who knew him.

Sandy, Arron and Paula,
Frank and I are so very sorry that you will be missing your husband and father. If there is anything in the future you need from us...a call, a light fixture changed out..anything call us. David when I called 911 for Frank was "in" the house with him in one minute. I still think he must of had wings to get here so fast.... We will put on our wings for all of you too. So many wonderful memories. and all our Love.
