Ernest Ramme Obituary

Brig General (USAF, Ret.) Ernest L. Ramme, died in Sun City, AZ, on April 21, 2004 at age 87. Ernie was active at Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, Union Hillls Country Club, and Heritage Palmeras. Ernie believed in service to God, country, family and community. His military career spanned 30 years, beginning in WWII and ending as a General at the Pentagon. As a Sun City volunteer, he drove the Red Cross van and did Recordings for the Blind. At his church, he holds the world record for number of rosaries made for the missionaries -- over 64,000! Above all, Ernie was a devoted husband and father. To his wife of 50 years and his four daughters, he exemplified a life well lived, instilling in them a strong sense of charity, community and moral ethics. His imprint on their lives is everlasting. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann, and is survived by his four daughters, loving granddaughters and grandsons, and a multitude of admiring friends. Visitation and rosary will be held on Friday, April 23, 4-6 PM. at Advantage Funeral Services, 11211 W. Michigan Avenue, Youngtown. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 24, 10 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 9728 W Palmeras, Sun City. Contributions may be made to Fragile X Foundation, PO Box 190488, San Francisco, CA. 94119.
