Ruth Hover Obituary

Hover, Dr. Ruth McKinley
At 22:30 hours on 16 February 2012, Dr. Ruth McKinley-Hover, of Fountain Hills, AZ entered into immortality. At her side were her husband Harry C Hover; her son Mark S. McKinley; granddaughter Shannon McKinley and her son Terry P. Green who resides in Oregon. "Dr. Ruth" received her M.S.W. at the University of Southern California in 1972 (Phi Beta Kappa) and her PhD at American Western University in 1981 (Cum Laude). She was a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work and a psychotherapist in private practice for over 30 years. She is listed in the 13th and 17th editions of "Who's Who of American Women", with recognition as an Appointee to the President's White House Conference on Children and Youth as well as for her work as an Administrator of a branch of the San Fernando Valley, CA Child Guidance Clinic; Placement Services for the Los Angeles County Juvenile Court and Protective Services branch, where she assisted the Sheriff's Department in placing children from the Charles Manson case. She was Director of the Hospice program in Thousand Oaks, CA where she met her husband Harry. Her PhD thesis was on "Altered States of Consciousness" and her insatiable curiosity led her to an affiliation with Dr. Leo Sprinkle and Harvard University's "Program for Extraordinary Research (PEER)" founded by Dr. John Mack for the exploration of "Anomalous Trauma". Such research included the "Death" experience; the "Near-Death" experience and the "Abduction" experience. She was a member and for 11 years conducted an "Experiencer Group" for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) in the Phoenix area. (Perhaps the longest running such group in the U.S.). For 20 years she traveled Internationally as a Tour Leader for "Power Places Tours", fulfilling her passion for people in Egypt, Peru, Bali, Greece, England, Ireland, Jordan, Hong Kong, Korea and Australia. She had the opportunity to meet and interact with some of the great authors and leading edge thinkers of our time. Ruth was loyal to her ideas and a courageous pioneer in her field. She will be missed by many as she leaves us with a legacy of curiosity, intellect, passion, compassion, intensity and humility. She was Truth, Goodness and Beauty incarnate.

Only today did I know that she was the one to make the connection with ancient history to modern times. On finding her obit, I was saddened but amazed to find that she was a very active member of us UFO outlaws. My intent was to find her email and suggest that she look into how remote viewing could make the connection between the temple figures and modern events. But I greatly suspect that she already knew of that avenue. So rest well lady, you have earned it.

Good day, I am not good at offering condolences but please accept my deepest sympathy.
To loose someone like her in person is bad enough, but to me, the hole world is much poorer for loosing a whole library in her person. I only stumbled upon her today and I know I would have gained so much from her than only a few people in this world .
I would like to correspond ,if possible, with husband Harry, son Mark or Shannon or anyone concerning her findings in the Egyptian Tombs, especially about the number 9 (Video on Youtube: Chilling Messages Encoded in Egytian Tombs).
Regards, Dries Fourie.

Harry, Mark, and Shannon,

Although we only met Ruth a couple of times, we got to know her a little more through Priscilla's stories (and we all know Priscilla could TELL a story!)

Our fondest condolence for your loss.
