Ted, quiet, unassuming, hard working. You were too young when you unknowingly created a legend. Your genes are in one of today´s leading figures. You are a part of Amazon without ever knowing it. Your influence lives on in Jeff. You did well. Our grandson Preston Crumpton (cousin to Ted by marriage) is a hard worker at Amazon today successfully dedicated to making his place in the world. Your influence lives on. Jim & Judy

Ted. Your story may be more impressive than your son's.
You were a unicyclist like myself and an awesome father.

Our family loved stopping in your store to see all the new bikes and equipment you had to share with the neighborhood. You always picked out the perfect bikes for our kids. You were always available for a quick stop in to repair a tire or gear issue. You are a perfect and honest gentleman and we continue to miss you.

I grew up seeing Ted pretty much every week. My brother and I raced BMX throughout the 80s, most at Peoria Dunes track which is long gone now. Ted was always a great guy and knowledgeable about everything bikes had to offer. Road Runner was our sponsor and helped a family that only dad worked in to achieve their goals of racing competitively. My brother and I won many championships and almost always came in first at in the weekly races. Thank you Ted, I'm sure you are greatly missed by the thousands of kids you helped over the years as well as your family.

Ted was a wonderful man. I bought my bike from him about 15 years ago and still have it and use it. I worked next door this his bike shop on 67th and deer valley. He used to say he was my boyfriend when I would come in (lol). I was sad to find out he had passed away. He was a sweet, caring, and funny gentleman. He will be missed.

Ted was a wonderful man. I remember stopping by to chat with him when my father owned the post office shop next door (on Deer Valley). I stayed in touch with him throughout the years and always enjoyed his company. He will be truly missed!

Dad, Ted, Mr. T, Teeter, Mr. Cool, Theo, Grandpa J,
You were so many things to so many people.
To me, you were a wonderful husband to my mother, a father figure for me and my brothers, grandpa to my children , a good friend and a great man. To know you for only thirty years just wasn't long enough.
To say you were were the most beautiful, kind, gentle man I've ever known falls short of who you really were. You were like an angel, and now, you really are.
I love you.

Ted was so pleasant to be around. He laughed easily and never found fault in others. May all your precious memories keep you smiling until you meet again one day. I am sure my dad met him at the gate and is showing him around his new place. They will be best buds until we all get to heaven to be together forever.

Ted was such a sweet and happy person. So easy to talk to and be around. Smiling just thinking about him. So sorry for your loss Linda and boys. We know you will treasure so many happy memories. You will see him again. I can just see him and my dad laughing and laughing in heaven. I bet dad is showing him around up there now they will be best buds.

Ted our Friend,
We thank you for all the friendship, fun, laughter, that deep gruffly laugh, losing at most all the poker games and all our flat tires you've helped fix. We've been friends since 1984 and had the pleasure to see your happiness in marriage, life and experience true ethics in your walk.
All the laughter and fun playing poker together with all the buddies. I want to be the first to apologize when we tricked you into eating a doggie treat that looked like beef jerky. After you found out you still enjoyed it. :-)
Trick was on us.
Enjoy your next journey.
We love you buddy.

I first met Ted back in 82' at the bike shop, I raced the 1st night at Peoria Dunes and he asked me that night to join his team, from there we went on to win multiple team trophies, I will never forget that part of my life, Thank You Ted for being a part of and believing in me. A friend and I still race and there is not a time I show up at the track and not have a thought of him, we were going to get jerseys made to honor him like we wore back then and have him come to the track and watch us, we missed that oppertunity. You will be missed Ted, rest in peace!

So sorry for you loss. Ted was such a nice man. His bike shop was in our neighborhood. He was always so helpful to my sons and all the kids that went there for parts or service. He knew most the kids by name and was a friendly honest business man that treated his customers well. He will be missed.
