After Funeral Services in Richmond, VA a Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10 in Churchville Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Churchville, MD. Those who desire may make contributions to the Building Fund of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1627 Monument Avenue, Richmond, VA 23220.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Mr. Rice had a way of getting the best out of us young employee of Southern States back in the early 60's. He was truly a remarkable person. He will be missed.

SUSAN AND PEGGY: MY MOTHER JUST CALLED TO GET ME TO READ YOUR DADDY'S OBIT. IN DOING SO, IT BROUGHT BACK VERY WARM MEMORIES OF LIVING ACROSS THE STREET FROM YOU ALL AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD WE WERE PART OF. SPEAKING FOR MY MOTHER, AND MY TWO SISTERS, PLEASE ACCEPT OUR CONDOLENCES ON YOUR LOSS. YOUR FATHER WAS TRULY REMARKABLE. To the family of Mr. R. V. Rice, I worked with Mr. Rice as a secretary during the early years when he was appointed to be Executive Secretary of the Virginia Council of Farmer Cooperatives. Mr. Rice was a wonderful person to work for and knowing him has made my life richer. Mr. Rice will always have a very special place in my heart.
