Your birthday was 29 March last Friday! You would have been 83 years old. I called everyone to remember and shared some funny things you would say. I will never forget you. I love you so much and I believe you would have been proud of the man I have become. I keep your memory alive with the girls and share as much as I can remember about you with Yvonne. I keep seeing the day you will say to me..."I heard everything you said down there...now this is how it really happened..." LOL I miss you, Nan. Love, Your son James (Tiny)

I cannot believe how much your not being here still affects me. I have embraced my final resolve that are you are actually still with me in spirit. Still among us by dwelling within our hearts and memories. You were so brave to face what you knew to come with acceptance. You were honorable in that what words we entrusted to you only remained with you. To whom other than Christ may I entrust my words and secrets to now? There will never be another you.

James,
I wish to offer my condolences to you and your family regarding the loss of your beloved mother. I know Mary Lee Fontenot was a virtuous woman of God. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to experience your mother through you. You often quoted wonderful pearls of wisdom from your mom during your sermon messages. Your mom was blessed to be surrounded by the love of her children, family and all those who loved and knew her. May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding keep your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

James to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Your mother is with the Lord now where there is no more pain and suffering. May God comfort and keep you and your family doing this time. Get into His presence where there is strength and joy unspeakable to carry you through. Worship your way through this.
Much Love

"Earth has no sorrow that heaven can't heal." When we hit life's rough spots our tendency is to feel abondoned, yet the opposite is true. At that very moment we are more than ever the object of His love and concern. Yes, even when our vision is blurred, our thinking foggy, our faith fletting, and we look up and can't see Him clearly-He is "very present." Ps.46:1 "God is...a very present help in trouble."
