ROBERT COOPER Obituary

COOPER, Robert (Bob) Of Randolph, 87 years of age, died peacefully surrounded by his family at the VA Hospital in Brockton on February 3, 2015. Son of the late Samuel J. Cooper and Rebecca (Betty) Cooper. Beloved husband of Bebe Cooper. Loving father of Howard S. Cooper and Sharon J. Cooper of Randolph. Brother of the late Ruth (Cooper) Goldman. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob graduated in 1945 from Roxbury Memorial High School. He served in World War II. He was an electrician for the MBTA until his retirement in1984, and was a member of the IBEW Local 103 for 66 years. After retiring from the MBTA, he worked for several years at Mass Electric Construction Company. Bob and Bebe were married for 60 years. Together they were the true testament to the meaning of marriage. He provided for his family, and always put them first. He was a warm, loving father and had many friends who loved him. They enjoyed listening to all his jokes and story telling. He was more than happy to lend a helping hand. He was a truly wonderful, kind and gentle person who leaves a legacy of love behind in his wife, children and those whose lives he touched. Services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, CANTON, on Friday February 6, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at the Independent Pride of Boston Cemetery, Woburn. The memorial observance will be private. Expressions of Sympathy in Bob's memory may be made to Brockton Veteran's Administration Medical Center, Hospice Palliative Care, Unit 4-2-C, 940 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA 02301, or to the Temple Beth AM, 871 North Main Street, Randolph, MA 02368. I remember "Uncle Bob" fondly. He was always ready with a joke. He had memorized a thousand, at least. He was gentle and always nice to me and the kids. A great man who I miss.

It was always the highlight of any day when I was able to see your father at " Toast of The Town " or to spend a sunday afternoon visiting with Bob to enjoy a few jokes as alway's or some vast knowledge that he alway's was willing to share. I used to see Mr. Cooper and his lovely wife every Weds. at lunch when I would meet the ladies from the Randolph Women's Club. They seemed to be very much in love and he was always such a gentleman. I will miss seeing them at the Toast of the Town. Cheryl Aldrich
