He was a very large part to what made the concept of Baker and Daniels so great. Without the hard work and dedication to his craft, we would never have gotten to know the fine man as William Bill Landers was in this life. People such as him is what helps tp make America so great.

I was on the staff of Mental Health Legal Advisors Committee when Bill worked with us. He always was willing to help, was kind, and was talented. Bill was a person to whom doing good came naturally. The world will miss him.

Bill and Deborah had a quiet elegance in all that they did. To the monumental things like building a law practice, creating extraordinary art, and raising children. But as importantly their elegance shined through in the ordinary: a simple meal, a lovely note, a gentle nudge. We are so sorry for your loss: we know you two were deeply in love. Bill was one of the brightest and most thoughtful people I have ever known. In addition to his superb legal skills, he made incalculable contributions to the construction of the downtown Meridian office of Baker & Daniels and was a tireless worker on that project. It was my great pleasure to be his partner. Deborah, you and your family have my deepest sympathies.

So sorry for your loss. I still remember both Bill and Deborah as regulars, and wonderful supporters in the early days of Patachou. Please give Deborah my love, and let her know that I've thought of them often since their move East. Martha Hoover
