Please someone tell me if he was the Tom Jansen that attended Greenwood Music Camp?? If so, he and I shared many memories there, which I am now reading about in my1958 calender/journal!! We were in touch for at least a year after camp, and visited my family in Newbury MA a few times and at the Cambridge School of Weston. I had no idea after that what had happened to him, and still curious how he made a living, now that I read he performed with many choirs. I would be grateful for any information. Thankyou!

Tom was my roommate at Trinity, fellow Pipes member (he sang, I was the business manager) and fraternity brother. Tom was one of the nicest and kindest men I knew. I hadn’t seen him in 40 years and we were just reminiscing at a virtual reunion on Monday about him. The research, sadly, led to this. Our condolences.

I was saddened to hear of the illness and passing of Tom. Tom and I sailed our family pond boats on Cockeast Pond in Westport in the 1950’s. We raced, climbed on Gull Rock, explored and walked in the mud. Very memorable times. As a teenager I moored my ugly outboard off the Jansen boathouse. We attended square dances at “Chet’s Barn”. I remember Tom and Barbara as very good friends. My best to Barbara.

We were both deeply saddened to hear of Tom's passing. He was always such a joyful and energetic person that it's hard not to smile whenever we think of him. May God bless his memory and comfort his family as we all grieve together. When we think of Tom and his love of liturgical choral music, we remember a particular phrase from #34 in the Episcopal hymnal: "Joyfully chanting holy hymns to praise you, with all creation, joining hearts and voices, singing your glory."

I’m just heartbroken to learn of my friend Tom’s passing. He was a true and faithful man, companion, friend, servant of God and he will be so missed. Sending love and blessings to Barbara and all the kids and grandkids as we grieve this loss with them. He has risen in glory and God will never let him go.
