WOLF, Attorney David Of Newton, age 85 years, on Saturday Nov. 10, after a long illness. Beloved husband of Maxine (Bunnin) for nearly 50 years. Devoted father of Eric Ezekiel Wolf and his wife Debra of Scarsdale, NY, Douglas Robert Wolf and his wife Sherri of Newton and James Andrew Wolf of Brookline. Adored and adoring grandfather of Rachel, Adam, Stephanie, Alexandra and Jason. The son of the late Ray (Cohen) and Ezekiel Wolf, he is survived by his sister Mimi Dickson and her late husband Sidney of Homestead, FL, his sister Sheila Agranat and her husband Howard of Naples, FL. David was predeceased by his sister Betty Rose Wolf. David has been a loving brother-in-law to Nancy Bunnin of Brookline and Beverly Weinfeld and her late husband Dr. Marvin Weinfeld of Newton. He is also the proud uncle of nine nephews and their families. David was graduated from Boston Latin School, U Mass Amherst and Harvard Law School, from which he just celebrated his 60th reunion. David was a Founder and Senior Counsel of Wolf Greenfield one of the country's foremost Intellectual Property law firms. David Wolf has over 50 years experience in IP law, including extensive trial and appellate experience in patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, and appearances before the U.S. Supreme Court, where he was successful lead counsel in the landmark Aro case, and federal courts throughout the country. He also has expertise in handling large patent and trademark portfolios and licensing for a variety of leading corporations. David has been on the faculty of the ABA Trademark Trial Advocacy Program and the Massachusetts Bar Association Institute, testified as an expert in several patent cases, and served as an arbitrator in various intellectual property right disputes. He has also been a guest lecturer at Boston College Law School and Franklin Pierce Law School. David was past president of the Boston Patent Law Association. David has repeatedly been named in Boston Magazine as one of Massachusetts' "Super Lawyers" in the field of intellectual property law and has also been repeatedly named to The Best Lawyers in America. David holds over 18 patents in the electrical and mechanical arts. David was the Managing Partner of Wolf Greenfield for approximately 30 years and thereafter served on the firm's Executive Council. His annual summer training course, "Think Like a Lawyer", has been singled out by summer associates as a highlight of their experience with the firm. David also has been strong supporter of countless Jewish causes and Israel. Along with his wife, he has been a Founder of Hadassah and for over 20 years he has served as a National Board member and General Counsel for CAMERA (The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America). He was a longtime member of Temple Emanuel of Newton. David was also a gifted watercolor artist and an avid skier. Among his greatest delights was his Welsh Springer Spaniel Merlin who was an almost daily visitor during David's rehab time at NewBridge on the Charles. Services at Temple Emanuel 385 Ward St. Newton on Tuesday November 13 at 10:30 am. Interment at Sharon Memorial Park. Memorial observance at the home of Douglas and Sherri Wolf on Tuesday 7-9pm and continuing Wednesday and Thursday 1-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Please omit flowers.
