I worked with Tom for many, many years and I am going to miss Tom terribly. His work ethic was exhausting to keep up with. His love for his family was very evident. All of us that have dealt with Tom know that his bark was louder than his bite, but we all loved him for just that. I am happy to have known Tom and as everyone around me will agree, he will be missed daily. Don Murray

I worked with Tom at the MA DPU back in 1987. He was a great boss who became a good friend. He had a sense of humor and we really connected. It was a great going to work everyday to work with Tom. He later married the love of his life, his wife Nancy and then came the other loves, his boys, all he adored. He was complete with his family. I am so saddened to learn of his passing but know that he is at peace and smiling with that great smile. I will miss you Tom (Mr Dedrick). Forever in my heart.

To my cousin Tommy. I've spent very little time with you as an adult. As a child I remember your energy - always warm with a wry sense of humor. The times we did spend together, you consistently were that same cool guy cousin I was always so fond of. A few decades ago I took mum, Aunt Anne, to the Ghetty Museum. We bought a postcard of a 19th century man who looked exactly like you. The resemblance was uncanny. I still have it. Aunt Anne adored you and cherished being your Godmother.

Dear Nancy, Evan, and Tyler,

Tom was one of the greatest friends I've ever known and he will be greatly missed by so many. He did so many unselfish things for others, and will always be remembered for his acts of kindness. So proud of his amazing boys and the men they have become. So much love for all of you Nancy, Evan, and Tyler! Now that he's free of pain he will be looking out for all of you from a beautiful place in heaven until you reunite again.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family during this time of sorrow.

Sincerely,
Kerry Shank
