MARY F. MCENROE

1922 - 2016

McENROE, Mary F. (Sarjeant) 93, on May 3rd. Loving wife of Edward J. McEnroe. Survived by her children and their spouses: Jane (Charles) Deliee, Mary (John) Andrews, Eileen (J. Gregory) Palmer, Katherine (James) Tarantino, Julia McEnroe and Michael (Vera) McEnroe. Mary was predeceased by her son Edward McEnroe. Also survived by her daughter-in-law Gail McEnroe, 20 grandchildren and twenty 3 great grandchildren. Mary had six brothers and sisters: the late John Sarjeant and Francis X. Sarjeant, S.J.; Joseph Sarjeant, Jane Foley, Julia Hallahan and Elizabeth Bernier as well as many nieces & nephews. Mary and Edward lived mainly in Norwalk, CT where they raised their family. No matter where they lived, they always considered Cape Cod their home. She was a 1944 graduate of Framingham Teacher's College and had a long career as an elementary school teacher in Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Connecticut. The family would also like to thank her caregiver, Andi Rocco for her loving care. Visiting hours will be held at Morris, O'Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Dr. in SOUTH YARMOUTH, on Tuesday, May 10th from 9:30 – 10:30 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Pius X Church, South Yarmouth at 11 am. Burial will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:15 pm.
