ROBERT "BOB" MINDER

MINDER, Robert "Bob" Age 64, of Canton, MA, passed away on September 29, 2016 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jackson, MS, and raised in Shreveport, LA, Bob moved to Boston to pursue a career in education. For more than 34 years, he was an inspiration to students and shared his tremendous passion for literature and learning with his students. He loved swimming, biking, hiking, kayaking, and leading his family on adventures in the mountains and rivers of New England. Bob is survived by his wife, Francie Rendall Minder, son, Avi James Minder, and daughter, Orah Dawn Levin-Minder, her husband Todd, and their daughter Maya Chava. He is also survived by his siblings, Peter Minder and Joan McDonald, as well as his loving in-laws, Laurie Coursin, Peter Rendall, Margot Rendall and Doug Rendall. Bob is predeceased by his daughter, Chava Minder and his parents, Leo and Sadie Minder. A funeral service will be held Sunday, October 2nd at 10 AM at Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 475 Washington St., CANTON. Interment is at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon, MA. Memorial Observance will be held at his late residence Wednesday 1-3 p.m., Thursday 6-8 p.m. and Friday 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Southern Poverty Law Center, 400 Washington Ave., Montgomery, AL 36104.
