To Papa,
May you find happiness, comfort and blessings to now be with those you loved who had gone before you. It wasn't so bad after all now was it..... You were lucky to live such a healthy, long, wonderful life and have been surrounded by so many who loved you.
Happy sketching!

Remembering Vinnie
At the Mary E. Curley School in Jamaica Plain, Vin taught art while my dad taught electric shop. Vin volunteered to paint a large western-vista mural to complement my model-train set. My dad had been an art major himself, and he continually lauded the creativity of this talented young colleague he called Vinnie. As just a kid then (now age 80), I myself was impressed by the personality and enthusiasm of Mr. Veneziano. One day while enjoying the train setup after Vin had hung his magnificent mural, I distinctly remember President Eisenhower on the radio announcing the end of the Korean War; that had to be 1953 so Vin was pushing age 28. RIP Mr. Veneziano.

Deepest condolences to Mr. Veneziano's family. I was fortunate to have him as an art teacher when I was a student at BLA. He was, indeed, a very kind soul. Requiescet in pace.
