Raymond Hendrickson

LANSDALE - Raymond "Ray" Hendrickson Jr., 77, of North Wales went home to be with his Savior on Wednesday (Feb. 18, 2015).
The husband of Judith Lea Weimer, Ray was known for his caring nature, sense of humor and lifelong love of sports.
Ray was born in Kane to the late Raymond and June Billings Hendrickson. He grew up in Smethport and was a star player for his high school basketball team, the Hubbers.
Following his graduation in 1955, Ray served in the United States Air Force as a radio operator during nuclear testing in the South Pacific. He then worked in Point Barrow, Alaska as a communications specialist on the Distant Early Warning Line. Throughout the years, Ray held a number of other positions including 13 years with Allen Brothers Wholesale from which he retired in 2000.
In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by two daughters, Alyson (Bill) Hendrickson Wentz of Hatfield and Lisa Lea Hendrickson of Pasadena, Calif.; two grandchildren, William and Anna Wentz; and one brother, John D. Hendrickson.
He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Blose.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at 2 p.m. March 22, 2015 at Chelten Church, 1601 Limekiln Pike, Dresher. Internment is private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Senior Care of Horsham, 111 Gibraltar Road, Horsham, PA, 19044. The memo line on the checks should read "In Memory of Ray." Contributions can also be made to NHS Human Services Foundation, E. Germantown Pike Lafayette Hill, PA 19444.
