Thomas POLET Obituary
June 22, 1928 – October 6, 2017
Thomas (Tom) Polet, passed away peacefully October 6, 2017 in Beausejour hospital, MB, at age 89. He was surrounded by loved ones to the last. He is with our Lord in Glory. His example of life and service continues to be an inspiration to all. He was predeceased by his first wife Sjouk (née Cnossen), and his brothers Pete and Fred. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Sarah (Vaags), his children and their spouses Mark (Terri), Pat, and Theodore, and his grandchildren Cara (Andy), Evelyn (Brandon), Delyle (Heather), Derek, Terrance, Sara (Kristof), Tj, Trevor (Donna), Taralin (Thomas), Tyler, and twelve great-grandchildren. He was also blessed to be known and dearly loved by Sarah's nine children, Bev (John), Harvey (Joyce), Ken (Linda), Susan (Ed), David (Cathy), Judy (Tony), Calvin (Sandra), Lorne (Sylvia) and Yvonne (Jason), 48 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Jim (Janet), Louella (Allan), Pearl (Carl - deceased), Stuart (Jane), Bert (Jean - deceased), and Klaas (Lorraine). A Celebration of life will be held at Emmanuel Christian Reformed Church (3020 51 St SW, Calgary) on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Siloam Mission in Tom's honour, 300 Princess Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 1M3, [email protected], 204.956.4344, https://siloam.ca/ .
