HAXTON- Janet M. (Morse) of West Barnstable formerly of Medfield, August 23, 2005. Beloved wife of Robert D. Haxton. Devoted mother of Laurie H. and her husband Robert G. Davis of Mansfield and Janell H. and her husband Scott M. Stephen of Alpharetta, GA. Devoted sister of Richard Morse of Hingham, Bradley Morse of Wolls, ME and Sandra Sandy of Derry, NH. Loving grandmother of Brandon M. Davis, Hannah R. Davis both of Mansfield, Heather H. Stephen, Derrick H. Stephen both of Alpharetta, GA. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held Saturday August 27 at 6:00 PM at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be on Saturday from 4-6 PM. Burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Janet's memory may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care VNA of Cape Cod, 434 Route 134, Dennis, MA, 02661. Laurie, Bob, Brandon & Hannah

I just heard the very sad news of the passing of Laurie's mother this morning when I arrived into work today. I had the pleasure of meeting Laurie's mother, Mrs. Haxton, a few times when she came into Boston with her husband and two of her four grandchildren, Brandon & Hannah to visit Laurie at her office. My sincere condolences to the family.

My love and prayers go to the Haxton family. I have known the Haxtons my whole life. My dad and Mr. Haxton were in the service together. If it were not for the kindness of Mrs and Mr Haxton, I would not have known about Habitat for Humanity and I would never be in my home. They were the guiding light to my fulfillment of my dream of owning my own home. Mrs Haxton will be missed. Again, I send my love to you all.
