WINCHESTER — Priscilla C. (Chamberlin) Neill, of Winchester, East Orleans and Naples, Fla., passed away at Winchester Hospital on Jan. 1, 2010, after an extended illness; she was 94 years of age.

As a teenager growing up in Barnstable on Cape Cod, she played golf at Cummaquid Golf Club, where her father was Club Champion in 1934 and she sailed her Baybird in the waters off Barnstable Harbor and Sandy Neck. Priscilla graduated from Winchester High School in 1933. She graduated an English major from Smith College (Northampton) in 1937, and then went to work at the Personal Book Store in Boston.

She married in 1941, and lived in Portsmouth, N.H., until Stanley went off to England as a Supply Corps Officer in World War II and she moved to her parents' home on Wedgemere Avenue, Winchester. They built the house at 5 Overlook Way and raised her family as a homemaker and continued to live there for most of her long life until she resided at assisted living at the very end of her life.

Priscilla was a member of the Winton Club and the Smith College Club. She was a lifelong member of Winchester Country Club chairing ladies golf and ladies curling and serving on the Centennial Committee. She also spent time in East Orleans and was a longtime member of the Eastward Ho! Country Club in Chatham and was a member of the Naples Country Club in Florida.

She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley E. Neill; loving mother of Stanley E. "Ted" Jr. of Winchester and Naples, Fla., and Nancy C. Johnson and her husband Elliot H. of East Orleans; cherished grandmother of Hartley E. Johnson and his wife Dina of Sudbury and Holly S. Johnson of Watertown; and great-grandmother of William and Andrew Johnson of Sudbury.

Funeral services will be held at the Winchester Unitarian Church, 478 Main St., on Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are at the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St. (Route 38), WINCHESTER, on Tuesday (today), Jan. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. Private interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Winchester Hospital, 41 Highland Ave., Winchester, MA 01890.

I remember meeting Stan and Priscilla on the curling rink at Winchester. They both had so much energy and life.
They will be missed.
She is now with Stan and enjoying his company again.
