Dear Betty, As a much younger cousin (perhaps not now!), I always was proud that Bobby was my oldest cousin...and, his mother, my dear Aunt Till, was my most favorite aunt.........and, the other younger cousins loved her too. During the summers at Hawk's Neck Beach, she would give me and Susan (Hungerford) a 50 cent piece when she came to visit. I didn't know about Bobby's death until tonight when my mother, Anne Grant Buck, now 97, and living here in Litchfield at an assited living, called to say that she had read this in the Hartford Courant...She was a little confused that it could be her nephew but then I suspected and I do plan to see her tomorrow and, of course, tell her that I have sent you this message.......Betty, I send you and your family my love and Anne's too........Barbara Buck MacDonald.............

Betty, I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Big Teddy Bear Bob. A wonderful man who will be remembered in so many loving ways...and who will live on in many hearts forever. I will miss his smile. My love, thoughts, and healing prayers to you and your family, and to all those many friends who hold you and Bob close.
With sincere sympathy,

Don,
I'm really sorry to hear about your Dad. We both know that he is now with God and in a better place with his suffering gone.
Your Dad will always be with you; his spirit and goodness will be part of you no matter where you go, and although I never met your father I see a part of him in you everyday.
Having lost my father in 2002 I know firsthand what your loss feels like. I’m certain your Dad loved you very much and I know you will miss him terribly.
I wanted to let you know that I am here for you at any time you need me - just to listen, or to talk. Please, don't hesitate to call me at home or work.
Remember that God will never give us more than we can bear, and he is with you and your family through every step of the way.
With my deepest sympathy, your friend, Rudy

We are very saddened by the loss of "Big Bob". We have shared a bond in our pride for our beautiful grandchildren and know first hand the impact Big Bob has had in all of their lives. We have lost the day-to-day interractions with a good man, husband, father, grandfather, friend, and neighbor, but we have not lost the memories and influence he has had and will continue to have on all of our lives. With our love, sympathy, and appreciation of his life. Cliff and Gail Boyce
