Sally Elizabeth Preble

Sally Elizabeth Preble, 68, of Westminster passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. Sally was born on September 7, 1948 in Hagerstown, MD and was the daughter of the late Lester and Grace Eyerly. She moved to Carroll County in 1967 and met and married Les Preble in 1968. Sally worked at Springfield Hospital where she attained her LPN. She continued her work in the health care profession and was employed at Westminster Nursing Center for 22 years, Carroll Lutheran Village for 8 years and Hanover Hospital for 8 years. In addition to her husband of 48 years, Leslie James, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law Karen (Preble) and Jan Golding and grandchildren Brendan and Leah all of New York; sister Linda Clingan of Frederick; sister and brother-in-law Lois and Larry Campbell of Wake Forest, NC; brother and sister-in-law Chuck and Linda Eyerly of Martinez, CA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ralph and Katherine Benedict of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many close friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 18th at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Carroll Hospice chaplain Rev. Art Monroe, Jr. officiating.
