Jim was a dear friend and valued colleague for over forty years.
A measure of the esteem with which he was held by other physicians was the legion of medical professionals who entrusted the health of their children to his gentle care. Including our own.
We’ll remember a man who whistled cheerfully as he breezed the halls of his clinic, putting nervous parents and children at ease, calling the babies “Mouse.” Making his very thorough examination a play session.
Jim’s passing leaves a void that simply cannot be filled. A delightful dinner companion; great raconteur; rapier sharp wit; understanding ear; gracious and generous; deeply caring, loving husband and father.
Our condolences to Angelique, Valerie, Dmitri, Alexander, and his cherished family. What a magnificent legacy of precious memories and matchless example Jim Nicklas has left us all.
