Zelda Henry Obituary
Zelda L. Henry was born on Dec. 29, 1939 in Idaho Falls, Idaho and passed away on March 27, 2008 in a Chico hospital after a brave battle with Lymphoma
She was the eldest daughter of Lavern and La Rena Smith. Zelda graduated from Payelte (Idaho) High School in 1958. On Sept. 17, 1968 she married Gary Henry in Meridian, Idaho. Shortly after they were married they moved to Chico and in 1972 they moved to Orland.
Together they had 3 sons, Matthew, Brad and Dan. In 1989, Zelda and Gary moved from Orland to Corning. Together they enjoyed each other, their many friends, grandchildren, NASCAR, camping and various activities. She especially loved to watch and support her children and grandchildren play in sports and school activities. In her working days, Zelda worked for a variety of area businesses including Johns Manville, Corning Truck and Radiator and M & M Motor Parts as a bookkeeper.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary; her sons, Matt (Christina) of Corning, Brad (Candy) of Vancouver, Wash. and Dan (Connie) of Chico; her sisters, Sharon Acarregui of Chico, Elaine Snow (Conard) of Eugene, Ore. and Colleen Watts (Jim) of Hines, Ore.; also her beloved grandchildren, Dane and Emily/Megan and Shelby/Nick, Dakota, Bailey, Mike and Kaedin, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
No services are pending. A family gathering for our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will take place later this summer.

Thought you would like to know I got married in October to a very good man who was born and raised in Twin Falls.
Danny, Connie and Emily, as well as, Lori, Jay and Kasey were there on that special day when we were married. I felt both Steve and your presence that day.
I called Danny to wish him a Happy Birthday and you were mentioned a lot in our conversation with love.
We are all going out to dinner on Sunday and Gary will be joining us. We are going to celebrate all the Aries birthdays. I know you will be with us in spirit and will not be able to eat, but I will pig out for the two of us, even though it will stress my will power to the limit.
I truly miss our phone calls regarding the medicines you took and had me look them up in my little PDR. I think of you each day and I know you and Steve, as well as, dad and mom are looking down and watching over me.

I am envious, for you are with all those that we miss so much! Never was an unkind word spoken, always wearing a smile and carrying one for others. I remember as a boy a coffee can full of coins. These little gems were like smiles taken from your pocket. They were the world to us, sharing them because we are Family. I will always cherish the memories that you have given to me. Know that you are truly missed and yet you are like the bulb that is planted into the ground and springs to life when beauty is needed. It gives me great pride to know that when it is my time, you will be there to take me home to our family reunion!

Aunt Zelda,
You gave me so many wonderful memories. All the summers I came to visit and stayed with you and Uncle Gary. Those were wonderful times that I will never forget. I will miss you forever and I know all the family loves and misses you so. You were a beautiful person inside and out with a heart of gold that I will always remember and cherish.
