I am not sure what made me think of Huntie tonight, but found with sadness that she has left us. I knew her through her Aunt Helen Black and well remember trips to the Edge of Appalachia preserve with her.loved visiting with her in her apartment full of art and Merle a lump under a blanket. I met Helen when we both attended the University of Denver in the 1980's. She was a great friend and remained so even after she left the Denver area. I regret I didn't have an opportunity to spend more time with her. Remembering Helen with much love. God Bless.

I will never forget Helen. She was not just my employer she was my friend. She never met a stranger. My husband adored Helen. Rest In Peace Helen. You deserve it.

Helen was a wonderful person and a wonderful friend to me and my family. I remember her Memorial Day fireworks parties she used to host and taking her to the Aquarium for Wave Foundation functions. She even came to a couple of school plays my kids were in. I remember many years ago taking Helen to the Cincinnati Art Museum. The fountain on Fountain Square was being refurbished and they had the "Genius of the Water" on display on the second floor of the Great Hall. It's amazing how large and beautiful she is.
I introduced the elderly guard standing by the statue to Helen and told him she was the Great, Great, Great Granddaughter of Henry Probasco who donated the fountain to the city in the late 1890s and I think it made his day! Helen loved her dog as well as her cats, Molly and Merle. She also loved a good glass of Chardonnay on occasion! I will never forget her.
Rest in Peace Helen,
