Ruby Bigham Obituary

Ruby Faye Bigham, 83, died Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Byram with burial following at Rosemont Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Mrs. Bigham was born on May 29, 1930 in Pontotoc County, MS, the daughter of the late Fred and Katie LaPrade. She worked at Shainberg's in New Orleans in sales for 20 years. After moving to Hammond, she managed the card inventory for Hallmark. Mrs. Bigham retired as a district manager for Cato Department Store. She was an active and faithful member of First Baptist Church on Bryam where she was a member of the Golden Gleamers. Mrs. Bigham will most be remembered at a loving wife, devoted mother and cherished grandmother. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lee Bigham, a twin brother, Ray LaPrade and younger brother, Charles Hulan LaPrade. She is survived by her husband, Charles Lee Bigham of Byram; son, Charles Davey Bigham and wife Vickie of Bouge Chitto, MS; grandchildren, Jerry Bigham-Molaison of Tylertown, Christy Faye Bigham-DaSilva of Slidell, LA; Barry Duane Bigham of Laurel; Charles Brian Bigham of Pearl; great grandchildren, Neil, Scott and Mark Molaison, Sylvia, Silas and Stone DaSilva, and Noah, Naomi and Remedy Bigham.

Thank you from all of us,for your prayers & encouraging words.
My Grandmother,Maw Maw Faye will be truly missed. But we rejoice with her that she's in heaven with other family members that have passed. And one day we'll be reunited with her & others.
Absent from the body present with the Lord.
I love you & will miss ya,Maw Maw Faye!

Charles and Family:
May God bless and comfort you all in your loss. I know Mother and Faye were close in their younger days, but were regretfully separated by distance in the years they were raising their families. Now in Heaven they can renew their friendship, and all of us can prepare to meet them there.
