John Robie Obituary
Jack had various jobs including musician, teacher, tutor and craftsman. He was a graduate of University of Notre Dame, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He enjoyed singing, playing his guitar and the piano.
Survivors include his parents, Dr. Richard R. and Trudy (McShane) Robie of Kirtland Hills; siblings, Mary (Wayne) Duignan of Kirtland, Veronica (Brian Stasiewicz) Robie of Chicago, IL, Killian (Lynne) Robie of Brecksville, Regina (Steve MD) Gallo of Western Springs, IL, Patrick (Debi) Robie of Chardon and Todd Robie of Mentor; 13 nieces and nephews, Evan, Claire, Matthew, Killian, Ryan, Jeffrey, Nicholas, Grace, Jillian, Stephen, Peter, McKenna and Megan.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2015, at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH. 44060 and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Church.
Contributions may be made to Christ Child Society or a charity of your choice

To Todd and the entire Robie famiy I pray that you find peace and comfort knowing that Jack is now at peace with our Loving Jesus Christ. I met Jack when he was a Math tudor for my son. He had a way with teaching I was so grateful for him. He made learning fun. We became friends. He was so interesting to talk to. He shared his talents in music,singing, playing his guitar, and his smile. What a wonderful person and a kind soul. Rest in peace Jack. You will be missed and in our hearts forever.

Fortune smiled on me the few times our paths crossed during and after grade and high school and reminded me of how lucky I was to know John even a little bit. He was a true gentle-man, so handsome and kind.
Of course he will be remembered for his talents but most of all for the choice to show his love in action every day to his family and many, many friends.
Much love to John and to all of the Robie family. May John be be at peace. And may we see him again.

Dick and Trudy - and to the entire family -
Please accept my heartfelt condolences and sympathies. Jack was a great member of music ministry at St. Mary's during my earlier years there as Music Director - such a stellar voice, talented musician . . . and all around good guy. Myself, along with 2 others (Marita and Barb) sang together for many years - and we really enjoyed working together. Jack will be missed. May God's peace and consolation surround you during the days and weeks to come.

God Bless the Robie Family during this time of grieving. I was so blessed to have gotten to know Jack through music. Jack was so at peace when he was playing his guitar and loved the challenge of learning a new song. We played for hours and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him.
