SESSOMS
CLINTON — Mr. Fletcher "Minson" Sessoms, 86, of 581 Concord School Rd, died on Monday evening, Dec. 28 2015 at Duke Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 31 at 2 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Guy officiating. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Church Cemetery, Roseboro, NC.
Born in 1929, in Sampson County, Minson was the son of the late Henry Wade and Emma Johnson Sessoms. He attended Mill Creek Baptist Church, was the owner and established Sessoms Jewelry, founded in 1967. He was also owner and operator of Sessoms Hog Farm of Roseboro, and a Charter Member of the Sampson County Rescue Squad.
Minson is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lucille Jackson Sessoms, his daughter, Deborah Sessoms Hall, her husband, Gary Wayne, of Clinton; two grandchildren, Najshula Hall Lassiter and husband, Jarrett of Clinton; and Calvin Minson Hall of Durham, and two great-grandchildren, Jackson Wayne Lassiter and Hadley Grace Lassiter.
In addition to his parents, Minson was preceded in death by his daughter, Diana Kay Sessoms; brothers Earl and Walton Sessoms, and his sisters, Elizabeth Coats, Margaret Davis and Cora Essey.
The family will receive friends before the service on Thursday, starting at 12:30 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home, and other times at the home of his daughter, Deborah Hall, at 405 Inverness Road, Clinton.
