My sweet Aunt Geneva, I will miss you so very much. I am thankful I was able to express my love and appreciation for you and send you little pretties and yummy strawberries. Like Mamaw always said, "Give me flowers while I am alive so I can enjoy them!"

I cherish our long talks! I am thankful for all the fun, wonderful memories! You were always so good and loving to me, my entire life! I am so glad I often expressed how special you were to me and I appreciate that you took time to express your love for me, as well. Thank you for that. I will miss your physical presence... your voice, your laugh, your smile, our talks and your wise advise... but I know you are not far from me.

"Time cannot steal the treasures we carry in our hearts nor ever dim the shining thoughts our cherished past imparts."

I'm sure it was quite a reunion you had with your mamma, your daddy, Michael, Uncle Johnny, Sherry Jo... and all the others! Give them a big hug for me, will you?

Heaven is all the richer now that you are there! (I'm sure they were waiting for you so that the party could begin... because you ARE the party! You always were!). And I am sure that because you are now with Sherry Jo, you are finally at peace. I know you missed her terribly. I Love You So! Until I see you again,

Joe and family, We are so saddened to hear about Geneva. She was a breath of fresh air with the cheeriest of dispositions and could light up a room with her contagious laugh. I am indebted to you for the love you showed Papa and Nana in Panama City and it just won't be the same up there without ya'll. I always thought of Joe and Geneva as yin and yang - Joe so calm and strong taking everything in, and Geneva so bubbly and active; both so full of life and such soulmates - we could just feel their love for each other, for their family and for those of us lucky enough to be their friends. Actually, I don't think Geneva ever met a stranger, she just welcomed everyone with a hug and a smile. That's just how she was. We are praying for you, counting our blessings, and sending our love. Oh my, I could write a book about what this sweet lady has meant to me in my life. She was my Aunt Geneva and always will be. I love her SO much. She wasn't my "real" aunt but she was my mom's best friend and I grew up calling her Aunt Geneva and Uncle Joe. I treasure the memories I have. My thoughts and prayers go out to GiGi, Terry and Perry and to sweet Uncle Joe. We will see her once again. I love you Aunt Geneva. Leigh Ann (Terrell) Williamson

I am so sorry. Geneva was the most amazing woman and a great friend. When I lived in Memphis, I spent time at your home, always laughing and talking, cutting hair, etc. Even when I moved away I would come to Memphis and stay with Geneva and Joe.
She was a ray of sunshine for everyone whose life she touched. She will be truly missed.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers knowing you will stay strong since you know our soul never dies. She always told me that.
Mere words cannot express what she meant to me over the years. We talked every once in a while over the last years. I could tell she was not well just by her voice.
I am truly saddened. I would love to hear from the family and regret that we live so far away or I would be there.
I love you all, Fran Nixon
This is a poem I "received" from my mother after her passing.

Cry gently but not for long, for I will always be a song in your heart, an angel on your shoulder to guide you on your way.
Do not miss me, for I am still here, beside you around you, always near.
I love you, your mother."
I hope this brings you the peace it did for me.

I know that our separation is temporary no matter how long it could appear to be, it is erased in the eternal happiness which God has promised us.

How sweet and consolable is the Truth that only a thin material veil is the one hiding you from my sight; I know you can be here at my side, look at me & hear me like other times and better yet, that you do not forget me nor I forget you.

Our thoughts will never cease to follow each others and you will continue to sustain me always.

Let the peace of the Lord be with you.

Amen

A bright and beautiful light has grown dim in this world but no doubt she lit up heaven when she met Sherry at the pearly gates. My heart is broken for you, her family-Joe, Perry, Terry, Gigi, remaining siblings and grandchildren. She was indeed a special lady. May your sweet memories sustain you in these days. I love you guys.
