Corinna Pidgeon Harmon "Renny", died unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep at home on October 14, 2017.
Born September 27, 1957, in Memphis, TN, Renny was the oldest of the four children of Mr. and Mrs. George Robert Pidgeon. She attended The Hutchison School, was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Cathedral School, and attended the University of Mississippi.
Renny will be remembered for her big heart, her kind soul, her selflessness and her generosity of spirit. She never met a stranger. Renny was her most vibrant when helping others which she did through The Le Bonheur Club, as a board member of the American Lung Association, and as a warm and welcoming hostess for Calvary Street Ministries' birthday celebrations. She was a devout Catholic, and participated in the St. Anne's Rosary and Altar Society.
Renny was always willing to give her time and her ear to those in need, friends and strangers alike. She was a great conversationalist, well read, engaging and enthusiastic. She had the ability to make others feel at ease. She was a supportive, protective and loyal friend, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. Her smile and warmth will be missed by many.
Renny was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Keith Harmon, her father, George Robert Pidgeon, Sr. and her sister, Leslie Pidgeon. Renny is survived by her sons, Robert Christopher Harmon and Mark McCadden Harmon; her mother, Corinna Fortune Pidgeon; her brother, George Robert Pidgeon, Jr.; her sisters, Louise Ruth Pidgeon and Mary Pidgeon Coffman; her nieces and nephews, Corinna Pidgeon, Bobby Pidgeon III, Lily Pidgeon, Tee Pidgeon, Robin Coffman III, and Alex Coffman.
Funeral Mass will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 18 at St. Anne Catholic Church on Highland. Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be sent to Church Health Center, Lung Association or charity of your choice.

My condolences and love to all the Pidgeon family, the children, her brother and sisters and especially her Mother, my dear friend Renny. Little Renny was a great girl, always fun and smiling. I knew all of them from the time they were small children I loved seeing them grow up. Little Renny was my friend and I will miss her.

So many memories of Renny... she was beautiful, fun, always finding the next thing to get into. The stories shared in this lovely tribute are exactly how I want to remember her. My love to Louise, Mary, Bobby, and her sweet mama, Mrs Pidgeon, and I send up prayers for Renny's peaceful eternal rest. Hugs.

The smiling, swinging, outrageously beautiful Renny led many of us through our Memphis youth. As Louise Pidgeon's big sister, Renny was the one we aspired to emulate. We were in awe of her, the bevy of M.U.S boys that clustered around her will say the same. She had that unique ability of being a role model to the girls and seamlessly "one of the boys," and if ever an event was going on, our dark-haired, Elizabeth Taylor eyed Renny either started it, or was right in its middle. Sometimes life blesses you with an indelible character. Renny Pidgeon Harmon was this, to me. I send heart-felt love to all the family.
