Doug, I was thinking of you today ; not sure why at all and googled you to find you had passed far too early. So saddened by your passing, much too early and way too young. I will remember you from HHS, from chorus , from Purchase and playing ball with your brother Matt at PCH as kids. May you always rest in peace and know you are thought of.

I did not know Doug Guinan but he wrote an exquisitely funny and entertaining book in "California Screaming." Published in 1999, it continues to delight readers and will ensure Mr. Guinan a place for all time.

Doug you will be missed. Your light will burn here on earth through your favorite old Hawaiian story-teller. I'm proud to have known you; one of the smartest, most clever and sweet people I have met.

I knew Doug because of his close from Greg. I will miss the funny messges and emails I got because of Doug. He was someone that could laugh at life in a way only some people can. I am sad my friend Greg will not have Doug to laugh with. It is very sad. Rip Doug
