Beverly George Obituary
Weare, NH — Beverly A. (Lane) George, 90 of Weare, NH died on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at home after a long illness.
During her illness she displayed tremendous strength and humor.
Bev was born 09/24/31 in Rutland, VT, the daughter of Clinton & Marion Lane.
After graduating from Fair Haven HS (Vt) she continued her education at NH Hospital School of Nursing.
She went on to work at NH State Hospital & Prison as a forensic nurse for 40 years until her retirement in 1994.
She also worked part time at Russell's Animal Hospital for 17 years.
Bev was a member of the Weare Historical Society, Weare Garden Club, The Red Hat Society, and Bowling League.
She enjoyed traveling, gardening, knitting, crocheting, quilting, painting, reading, and crafts, Most of all spending time with grandchildren and family.
She was predeceased by her sisters Katherine Nichols, Patricia Mullen, and Francis Brown.
Surviving are her sons Charlie (Chuck) George Jr of Weare, Leanord George, his wife Jill(Eastman) of Weare, Jimmy George, and his wife Terri (Montgomery) of Candia and daughter Roberta (Bobbi) and her husband Brent of Contoocook, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held November 13, 2021 (11:00) at the Contoocook Village Cemetery 743 NH Rt 103 Contoocook, NH.
Immediately following the Celebration of Life will be held at the E Roger Montgomery American Legion 169 Bound Tree Rd, Contoocook, NH.
Those who wish to remember Bev in a special way may make a gift in her name to the Granite State VNA 30 Pillsbury St, Concord NH 03301.
The Hold-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation service is assisting the family.

Sorry to learn of your Mother's passing. She was a "Mom" to many, and will be missed. May you be comforted by the memories of so many years together.

Beverly was a funny and loving person always willing to help people. My mother and father always enjoyed her visits, my mom enjoyed doing crafts with her. She was a joy to be around and will be missed deeply.

I got to meet Bev when she came to Rutland to visit her sister Pat at the nursing home. What a hoot she was! She always brought a smile to Pat´s face, and sometimes an eye roll depending on what she said. I am thinking about all of you during this difficult time and wishing you peace.

I worked with Bev for many years at both the hospital and the prison. She was a wonderful nurse. My heart goes out to her family.
