Dave,
I played the song that you taught me the other day on the dulcimer. It's "I Wonder as I Wander." Thanks for teaching it to me.

Dave gave us the joy of listening to his dulcimer music at the Thursday Irish music sessions. I am sorry for your loss.

I loved talking with Dave. I met him as a member of the Haddonfield Field Club and enjoyed his friendly greetings through those years. We met again when I joined the First Presbyterian Church. I did not know about his interest and talent in music. He continually surprised me! I shall miss his friendliness and send my sympathy to his family.

The Field Family, so sorry for your loss, Dave will truly be missed by our family, he was a one of a kind and very special friend, he was also one of our dulcimer family, We will miss his songs and his jokes, we all have very heavy hearts. Dave was one of the original 12 that started the Greater Pinelands Dulcimer Society in 1979. I know he is playing in that angel band. RIP my friend. The Carty Family

To the Field family:
I will miss hearing Dave's beautiful heartfelt music at our Tuesday jams and at SJARMS. Everyone looked forward to just listening to the songs he played and sang at these get togethers. They just won't be the same without him. My deepest sympathy on your loss.
Sincerely,
Marybeth Johns

To the Field Family,
We're saddened by the loss of Dave, a wonderful musician and friend. I still feel that he is with us as I practice "I Wonder as I Wander" which he taught me. I loved the way he played "Pretty Saro" and I'm glad I was able to sing with him. So many songs, so many memories of Dave at the jams and Irish sessions.
I will miss him very much.
My prayers are with his family.

Dear Field Family,
We were so saddened to hear that Dave passed on. We didn't know he was sick, or we would have visited him! He left us so quickly; we didn't have time to tell him how much he meant to us. I hope somehow he knows…
We appreciate him coming to the music jams and trying to educate us "Flatlanders" in the ways of traditional music! We will miss him very much! I'm sure you will all miss him much more, and please know that you're all in our prayers.
God speed, Dave Field... you'll really be playing with the 'Angel Band' now.
Most sincere condolences,
Debbie & Clyde Simpkins

To the Field family: I am so sorry for your loss. I met your father while he was substituting for Audubon High School. I admired and respected him. I saw his determination and strong will even though it was difficult for him to walk our long hallways and many steps. He was kind, courteous, and always a gentlemen. He will be missed by the staff and students.
Sincerely,
Eileen Willis
