Stage Name
"Willie Tapps" - On December 12, 2018, age 66, Longtime Collingswood resident; Beloved husband of Patrice (nee Rumley); Loving father of Leah Naomi Wall (Drew), April Patricia Grafals (Ken) & Elyse Fithian Stavely (Guillermo Griem); Devoted Poppy to Brian & Elena Grafals and Dear brother of Thomas B. Stavely, III (Patricia).
Bill was a true renaissance man. He was a gifted cabinet maker, artist, musician, crafted guitars, participated in town musicals and under the stage name Willie Tapps loved participating in local "open mics." He was a faithful and involved member of the First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield, where he served as an Elder. But most importantly, Bill was a wonderful husband and father and greatly treasured his grandchildren. He will be missed.
Bill's family & friends are invited to his Memorial Service, Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, 12 Noon, in the Sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, 20 Kings Hwy. East, Haddonfield, NJ 08033; where his family will greet friends following the service. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations in honor of Bill may be sent to his Church at the above address or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Ave., Suite 1100 N, Bethesda, MD 20814, a cause dear to Bill's heart because of his nephew Will.

I hosted open mic night at The Treehouse in Collingswood where Willie Tapps was a beloved regular. With a twinkle in his eye, joy in his heart, and a trademark hat, Willie had the power to transform any random Tuesday into something special. His presence lit up the room. I carry his performances with me and they always make me smile. What a special gift that is. Thank You Willie!

I knew Willie from Windsor Towers as the best Doorman we had. He loved meeting and greeting everyone and enjoyed helping everyone. Easy to talk to and talented. He was always positive. Sad to hear about his passing. He is gone too soon..
