Eleanor M. Fufaro, age 97 of Largo, FL passed away on Thursday May 3, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Edward A. Fufaro, Sr. Mrs. Fufaro was born in Derby on April 9, 1921 daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine (Riccio) DeRosa, Sr. and was a resident of Florida for over 38 years, previously living in Shelton. She was employed for many years as a secretary at the former B.F. Goodrich in Shelton and later went on to be employed at Philips Medical Center until her retirement. She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Lafayette Women's Club, and St. Joseph's Church in Shelton.
She is the beloved mother of Josephine Tomassone, Edward A. Fufaro, Jr., and his wife Kathleen, and Richard J. Fufaro,and his wife Rosalie. She also leaves nine loving grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren,and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three brothers Arthur, Frank, and Pasquale DeRosa, and two sisters, Rose Pucella, and Ida Scarpa. A gathering of family and friends will be take place on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. At 9:30 a.m. her funeral procession will leave the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
