Tommy Roach

SHAWBORO - Thomas "Tommy" Allen Roach, 88, of N. Sandy Hook Road, Shawboro, died Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Heritage Care Elizabeth City. A native of Baltimore, MD, he was born June 8, 1930 to the late John William Roach and Viola Benton Roach and was the husband of Flora Forbes Roach of the residence. Mr. Roach served his country honorably in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and afterward worked as a skilled sheet metal worker with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and loved gardening.

In addition to Flora, his wife of fifty-seven years, he is survived by two very special friends, JoAnne West and Wayne Walston. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Twiford Memorial Chapel officiated by the Rev. Dr. John Luton. Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, PO Box 31, Shiloh, NC 27974.
