Alexander Zuvich, Obituary

Alex passed away on Jan. 7, 2010. He was born on Jan. 22, 1959. Alex was a lifelong resident of San Pedro. He was a talented Machinist and a "Doctor of Fixology". Alex is survived by his sisters, Arlene Bakkie (Michael) and Annette Cordell (Terry); nephews, David and Michael Cordell and Jacob Zuvich. There will be a celebration of life on Jan. 23, 2010, in Temecula, CA.

I'm sorry for your loss. Being from San Pedro, I met Alex 20+ years ago, and although we did not take the same path in life, I have to say that I will never forget one time when Alex's expertise in "Fixology" came to the rescue on one occasion when my car had been vandalized and I happened to run into him. The last time I saw him was at Rite Aid a couple years ago and he said that he was getting ready to move out of the area and start a new life, I am sad to hear that his new life has been cut short.
