Lawrence Parrish Obituary

Our dear sweet son, brother, uncle and friend died peacefully in his sleep the morning of March 23, 2013 in Loveland, Co. Larry fought a long battle with Addison's disease, amputation and arthritis but always with a smile and positive attitude. Larry's family is so grateful for his childhood friend, Chuck Manz, who was the best caregiver they could ask for. We believe Larry survived longer because of this friendship. Larry was born in Burlington, Iowa on June 17, 1947 to Allen and Toni Parrish and they moved to Boulder before his first birthday. He attended Sacred Heart of Jesus grade school, one year at Regis High School and graduated from Boulder High School in 1965. He completed his bachelor's degree at CU Boulder. He completed his working career with 20 years at Johnson Publishing Co. as a book binder. Larry is loved and missed by his mother, Toni, his sisters, Theresa Cantor and Mary (Paul) Ernst, his niece Sandra (Eddie) Byrne and their sons Thomas and Patrick. A Mass will be held on Friday April 5, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus, 1318 Mapleton. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite cause.

Larry was always a quiet, kind presence. His mother, Toni, was a wonderful friend to my parents, Charlie and Estelle Powell. I remember both of them so well.

I worked with Larry at Johnson for many years. He always had a way of making my day better. He was my co-worker, and a very good friend. He always had the time to talk with me about anything. He will be greatly missed. One of the finest human beings I will ever know. The world is less without him. Please accept my deepest condolences on your loss.

I was so sorry to hear the news about Larry. I went to Sacred Heart with him as well, and Toni was a wonderful friend to my Dad as well. I've tried to let some of Larry's old Sacred Heart friends know. I just remember him as a quiet, shy person who never had an unkind word for anyone. Condolences from Ken and Sheila Powell Grotzky
