Dale Alexander and Cody Sebastian Forrest

Dale Alexander Forrest Obituary

CODY SEBASTIAN FORREST HUDGINS - Dale Alexander and Cody Sebastian Forrest died on March 9, 2006 in Hudgins, Va. in a tragic fire. Dale Alexander Sandy "Alec" Forrest was born on Nov. 8, 1990. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Jean Forrest of Hudgins and his father Dale Bonney of Portsmouth. Cody Sebastian Forrest was born on Nov. 2, 1993. He is also survived by his mother, Bonnie Jean Forrest his father, David McBride of Virginia Beach. They are also survived by their grandparents Buddy and Carol Forrest of Hudgins, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends who all love them very much and will always miss their smiling faces. Both boys were so very loved and will be sorely missed and remembered and loved forever by all. A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. today, at Cornerstone Fellowship Church, Cobbs Creek, Va. Interment will be private at a later date. Alec and Cody Forrest were two of the sweetest, gentlest young boys anyone could ever want to know. They were always happy and joking and they always had a smile on their face. They loved everybody and enjoyed family and friends more than anything else. They both were always ready to give a hug and say something to cheer you up or make you laugh and they both loved animals. They had three cats that loved them and one cat even slept with them and died with them in the tragic fire of their mobile home. Alec, age 15, was so sweet and well mannered to adults and so full of fun with his friends. He loved to be involved in dramatic productions and wanted to seek a career in acting. He was chosen for the lead role in a number of plays at his school in Wakulla County School in Florida. From his experience in these plays, he was offered a part in an actual professional movie. At the middle school leve,l acting had not been offered in Mathews yet. He was looking forward to ninth grade to get into drama classes and acting again. He loved to play video games like most young people with his many friends at church and school. Alec was a very responsible and hardworking young man and made excellent grades when he applied himself. Cody, age 13, was fun loving and full of life. This past January, the entire family gathered in Florida for the wedding of the boys' uncle, Nathan Forrest. Cody looked and acted like a professional ballroom dancing star as he swirled folks around the dance floor at the reception. But, Cody's first best love was Star Wars and anything to do with it. He had every movie and video game and every action figure that had anything to do with Star Wars. Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, is in charge of the arrangements.

mrs. forrest,

i am very sorry for the loss of ur sons. alec was a VERY good friend of mine, and i miss him terribly. i know that u must miss him very much, too. he had a lot of classes with me, and he sat one seat down from me at lunch. we talked about a ring that his grandfather gave him, that he wore everyday. he told me about a film that he was going to be in over the summer. i was very proud of him. even though i didnt show it as much, i was. everyday in algebra and english, i see that one empty desk, and i think to myself, why? why him? but, the lord knows what is best, and i guess Alec and Cody were special boys that God wanted sooner than any others. i cant wait until we meet again one day, in the kingdom of heaven. God Bless You and the rest of your family! love, Kristen

To Bonnie and family,

My heart goes out to you and your family with my deepest sympathy. I've known Cody since he was a sweet, happy kindergarten student at CES. He had a wonderful smile that lit up a room and the most beautiful blue eyes. As he grew he retained that smile and I enjoyed watching him mature. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this trying time. I will always remember Cody fondly. God Bless You.
