I was blessed to work for Bill as a brand new Process Control Manager at Texas Instruments on the Expressway site. He was a wonderful leader and had a real team spirit that positively reached everywhere, even when the going was sometimes difficult. Further, he was a great mentor to me and I always carry with me many stories concerning his leadership that I routinely passed on throughout my career such that my subordinates might better develop and mature. On several occasions I flew with him in his private plane as we went to Houston for business during Houston startup operations for TI, very special remembrances. I truly grieved for my loss when he went on to Japan for the plant startup there; but, at the same time we all were happy to see that the Company promoted a truly great leader for that role.

Condolences to Bill's family. I never worked directly with Bill but knew him throughout our years at TI. Bill interviewed me and recommended TI hire me when I finished school. I always appreciated his interest in my career.
