Well it´s 2021 and For some reason you been on my mind heavy unc it´s kinda creepy how carrington look just like you lol. I wish you could see how all the kids have grew I know you would have been the proudest dad/uncle ever I can see the smile now. Well I miss you down here Unc.

A yr ago 05/11/2015 a great son,brother,father,& friend was taken from us life has had its ups & downs because we miss your contagious smile & crazy sense of humor, I often wonder what your last moments of life were like.You always said if you died today you would be ready.I miss you so much lil brother I wish you were still here.We loved you but God loved you more.I know there's a party in heaven.

Just found out he passed. He was my friend on FB. I never met him in person, but he was a sweet guy and it hurts me that he is no longer here.

I'm very sad to find out that Charles has passed. In school he always made me laugh and made me smile he had a great positive outlook all the time, and could make the whole room light up. He had such a great character and a good heart he will definitely be missed.

We have survived several birthdays, & holidays without you here but I think by far was your birthday.It's been 5months & it's still hard for us all.David we miss you so much & I can't personally understand why you?? My heart is still heavy. I was in disbelief when I got the news and kept saying to myself this has to be a mistake..Not Charles...But God makes no mistakes. This young man kept a smile on his face.I couldn't even imagine him without smiling. Every time I saw him it instantly reminded me of my son. This is a devastating loss for not only the Gentry family but also the community. I'm glad this family knows The Master because he is the only one that is going to get you through this and just by knowing him will make the difference. He really won't put any more on you than you can bear. I can honestly say that now and mean it. Keep standing on his word. It won't be easy....But it will get better. I am praying for your strength and peace. Love all of you. Charles tell my baby Hello.. I will see you both when I get there....Until Then.....

Charles is my nephews father and I am just hurting so much from the loss for everyone that loved him. I can't rap my mind around why so soon, could have waited and let him grow old with his family and the children that he loved so dear. Will be missed.

We were so shocked and saddened when we heard about David. All the memories of him walking through the door with that Kool-Aide Smile on his face to pick up Carrington and later Lil'Charles came flooding into our minds. He was special to all he met, because he wouldn't allow you to keep a frown on your own face. He made it a point to be involved with the children, not just his own children, but with others who didn't have a male role model in their lives. To the entire Gentry/Woodard family, I send my most sincere condolences. In the short three years I knew David, he proved himself to be an involved father playing an active role in his children's education and just one of the kids on almost every field trip. It was amazing to see him jump right in with all the kids and have them laughing and smiling. His contagious spirit and smile will be greatly missed. Just imagine what an amazing time all those children in heaven (my son Jorien included) are having with their own children's ambassador to join their angel ranks. I'm continuing to pray for everyone.
