Leo played so beautifully. I didn't know him well, but I knew he had a special heart.

Leo was a very important person to me in my early years as a musician in Columbus - always witty and especially helpful and complimentary to me when I really needed it starting out - I always looked forward to any gigs I was fortunate enough to play with him. My condolences go out to the entire family, and I wish him peace.

Leo was a fine musician. I didn't work a lot with him but when I did, he always impressed me with his lyrical improvisations.
