Marcia Hider Obituary

Hider, Marcia
Marcia Hider, age 77. Her lighthearted, joyful spirit crossed over to the light of peace on July 17, 2017. Our mom was a true character, in the best of ways. To know her was to know her loud and wonderfully infectious laugh. She had a fun, forgiving, and down-to-earth personality—and drew so much laughter from others...oh, the things that would come out of her mouth! She was one to always be herself, and her non-judgmental ways allowed all others to be themselves, knowing they would always be accepted. Our dad always said, "Your mom brings sunshine into the world"—how so very right he was. Our mom taught us to live life with laughter and joy, and to find it in the smallest of things. For that, we are forever grateful. Marcia is survived by her children, Steve Hider, Erin Nowilaty and Jill Peters; grandson, Joey Peters; brothers, Ron Hill and Greg Barr; sister-in-law, Carolyn Hunter; as well as Haani Nowilaty, Randy Kaminsky & David Peters. She is joined together again with her mother, Helen Barr; her husband, Bob Hider; her son, John Hider; grandson, Ash Nowilaty; sister-in-law, Ann Hill; and many cherished friends...and surely with a "big, fat cheeseburger and a great-big hot fudge sundae"! Special blessings and thank you to her 'family' at Mayfair Village Nursing Ctr; her beloved Shawn, especially, and so many special others! A private memorial service will be held. WE LOVE YOU, MOM!

I was Marcia´s housekeeper at Mayfair Village for several years and she was definitely one of the most amazing people on the 400 hall. She would have me laughing the entire time I was in her room. Marcia was my friend not just a resident and i truly loved her. I even cleaned Bobs room as well a few times. They both were great people and I am so sorry to hear of her passing. RIP Marcia. I´m sorry I never made it back to visit you.

With my deepest heartfelt sympathies and condolences to all our dear family and friends. Marcia was my 1st mother in law and in many ways was a surrogate for my own dear mother who was taken away much, much too young, too soon, and I loved her, confided in her and trusted her insight and judgement as a son trusts his own mother. Go with all God speed dear Marcia. You will be missed.
